Judy A. Crowe was born in Texas and has resided in the Houston area for twenty years. She began studying with local Houston artist Lindy Daly in 1989, and since has participated in workshops with the following nationally recognized artists: Tom Browning, Scott Burdick, Scott Christenson, Gay Faulkenberry, Dan Gerhartz, Ted Goerschner, Quang Ho, Marlin Linville, Kevin McPherson, Charles Movali, Matt Smith, and Charles Sovek. Her work has been influenced not only by these artists, but also by the works of John Singer Sargent, John William Waterhouse, and Richard Schmid.

Crowe’s subject matter includes figurative compositions, still lifes, and landscapes. Her representational style is painted from life, either in the studio or plein air. Collections which house her work include Kwik Copy Corporation as well as private clients nationwide. She currently demonstrates oil painting technique and teaches workshops throughout Texas.
