Trish Nickell, an American by birth has been living in Paris for the past 10 years!

Upon completing her Masters in Art from the University of Texas, Dallas, she had the desire to travel abroad.

When she was living in the United States, her art ranged in size from 8x10 inches to 5x6 feet. Since she has moved to France and set up a smaller studio there, her more current works are now much smaller. In France the studios are much smaller and confined, thus her range of works are limited by size.

Her paintings have a primary attraction of color that she uses from her everyday surroundings. As a detail minded artist, she begins her paintings from scenes from photographs and sketches to compose her work. She is an acute artistic observer. She states, "My paintings are inspired by nature. Like nature, they offer serenity and invite contemplation."

Currently, Nickell's works are exhibited in Texas and in France.

Group exhibitions include the following:

2006 Exposition d'ete, Dorothy's Gallery, Paris, France
